Risk Control & Governance Manager, Egypt CoE
About the job
Key Result Areas:
I Develop and manage internal control and governance standards for customer onboarding and ongoing monitoring of portfolio.
Maximize efficiency, best practice and control through benchmarked services delivery & operational standards within the framework of SOPs, policies & CB regulations.
To act as the main interface/liaison with various external units like compliance, CAM, RBG Compliance etc.
Implement compliance requirements laid down by Central Bank requirements and bank policies.
Review System Operating Procedures, Key Risk Indicators in line with Operational Risk framework, Business Risk policies and Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)
Monitoring Assessment and testing of control activities performed by functional teams through RCSA
Enable regular reviews and implement ongoing improvements and aim to reduce the operational and Risk losses.
Work effectively with RM’s in wealth to understand client needs and define process
Ensure look back exercise on compliance reviews and relevant updates are completed within the stipulated time period
Leading resolution to close regulatory , audit and oversight related monitoring issues generated through monitoring activities.
Ensure completion of training modules & awareness of risk of all staff
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
5- 10 years of solid banking experience in operations environment with a thorough understanding of banking product and implication of operational risks with a pro-active approach to problem solving.
Self starter with excellent working knowledge of process design & banking systems.
Knowledge of banks SOP, Operation Procedure Manual (OPM), Procedures Manual (APPM) , AML & KYC Policy, and Compliance
